ATTENTION VACATING RESIDENT:

You have notified us that you will be vacating your rental.

We will begin showing your unit to prospective tenants immediately. You will receive notice of scheduled showings via text message at least 12 hours prior to the showing time. Please make sure we have the correct phone number on file for these notices.

Please provide a forwarding address to TruHome prior to your move out date. Failure to provide a forwarding address will result in a delay in receiving final billing and deposit refund. We will mail any deposit refund you are due to the forwarding address provided.

You must contact any necessary utility companies (as applicable) to transfer services back into TruHome’s name as of the date following your financial liability. I would also suggest going to www.usps.com to submit a change of address as well as contacting any miscellaneous billing(s).

Below you will find a check-out cleaning list. This list was created to help you in the process of vacating your apartment and to inform you of what is expected during the move out process. Please note the cleaning list is not all-inclusive and should only be used as a reference. You will be charged for any cleaning that has not been completed.

Any cleaning required after your move out will be billed at a minimum rate of $55.00 per hour.

Damage created since your move-in date, which is considered beyond normal wear and tear, is considered the tenant financial responsibility and will be billed at a minimum rate of $55.00 per hour.

Damage beyond normal wear and tear would include additional nail holes in walls and stains on carpet (among other items) that are not listed on your move-in checklist. If new flooring or paint is needed due to your damage, you will be charged. Please see the link below for a maintenance charge list for estimated cost of repairs.

Tenant Maintenance Charges

All of your personal belongings must be removed from the unit and any storage or garage areas before the checkout date and time. Should you leave any personal items of value in your home, the maintenance department may store the items for up to 28 days at your expense. After 28 days, your unclaimed personal property will be properly disposed.

Finally, all keys including apartment, security door, mailbox and garage keys and garage door opener (if applicable) must be returned on the checkout date. TruHome will expect your keys to be returned to the office on/before your move out date. For alternative move out arrangements and key return please contact TruHome.

Once your keys have been returned a member of TruHome staff will secure the unit and complete a move-out condition inspection to be added to your file. If you would like to be present for this inspection, please contact us to schedule a time and date. You must be finished moving out and prepared to turn in keys at the time of this inspection.

PLEASE ALLOW 30 DAYS AFTER YOUR LIABILITY DATE FOR DEPOSIT ACCOUNTING AND FINAL BILLING. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A STATEMENT AFTER 30 DAYS, CONTACT TRUHOME. YOUR STATEMENT MAY HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO OUR OFFICE.
